Is transparency preserved?
No. JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas are filled with white.

This catches people out when a form, marketplace, or print supplier only accepts JPG. The format has no transparency channel at all, so the empty areas have to become some solid colour, and white is the sensible default — it is also what stops those areas turning black, which is the alternative failure everyone remembers. If the transparency matters, WEBP keeps it at a similar file size, and PNG keeps it outright. Convert to JPG when the destination demands it, not as a general-purpose way to shrink a logo.

Convert PNG to JPG turns PNG images into JPG (JPEG) files right in your browser. JPGs are smaller and accepted just about everywhere, which makes this the quick fix when a site, form, or app refuses a PNG. Because JPG has no transparency, any transparent areas are filled with white so nothing turns black or breaks.
Upload a PNG, set the JPG quality, and the tool decodes the image and re-encodes it as a JPEG on your device. Preview the result and download the new file. Nothing is uploaded.
